We’re out on Chequamegon Bay with Capt. Josh Teigen looking for jumbo bass and pike, with a few walleyes mixed in for a fish fry!  We’ve got an excited crew of anglers with us: Pete Maina, Dan Peterson, and Chris MacGillis. This isn’t fast fishing, but you have an excellent chance of catching a personal best bass or pike.

The Best Walleye Trip Ever!

We have never seen a bite quite like what we experienced during this quick trip to Canada! Danny Herbeck called us, and urged us to come north and experience a once-in-a-lifetime fishing experience - and it did not disappoint!  We caught huge walleye after huge walleye, so much so that we truly could not believe what we were seeing.  This will be a trip that we will never forget.

Bass Pro Goes Walleye Fishing

We had heard that our old buddy, pro bass angel Ron Johnson, had moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; so we decided to give him a call to see if he wanted to go fishing. It turns out that Ron has family here, and knows a bunch of lakes very well, and took us out on Portage lake to target walleyes.  Portage Lake has been coming up in discussions a lot over the past few years, and although we were fishing on a cold-front, we could see why.  We caught some beautifully built walleyes, and nice pike as well. Ron heads back out on tour shortly to finish out the year, and is thinking about guiding the area next year, so stay tuned.

Big Fish in the Racine Harbor

September is a magical month to fish the ports along the west side of Lake Michigan. Captain Caleb Zorn takes us out, and shows us that this a great opportunity for people with smaller boats to get out into these harbors, and catch a fish of a lifetime. This time of year, the stocked salmon are returning to where they were first stocked, to lay their eggs.
