Fishing with the Stars

It’s that time of year again, we head up to St. Germain and take 3 winners from the Annual ‘Fishing with the Stars” tournament out on the water for a fun-filled day of angling. This year we’ve got great winners in Jackson, Bomber, and Max; all of whom love to fish!  

The great thing about Vilas County is the sheer number of lakes to choose from, and the springtime is a wonderful time to go after just about anything. Throughout our day we target walleye, crappie, and bass. It’s a fantastic event that we always look forward to. 

Thanks to the St. Germain Chamber of Commerce for putting on a wonderful event each year, and congratulations to all of the winners!

Chequamegon Bay

This week we’re excited to welcome the winners of the Fleet Farm Fishing Getaway Giveaway aboard to get out on the bay in Ashland and catch bass and walleye. Capt. Josh Teigen is our guide, and he’s said that the fishing has been very good in recent days. Using a variety of baits, including plastics, hair jigs, as well as a sucker minnow, we get fish to trigger on all of them.

Northwoods Buddy Trip

We love getting together every year with a fun group of guys, hanging out, and getting out on the lake to fish.  It’s always fun to have a friendly little fishing competition as well!

Mississippi River

We’re finally back to the Mississippi River with guide Vince Moldenhauer after record high water levels hampered fishing for weeks.  The levels have returned to normal, and so has the fishing.  Summer is a great time to visit this area, you can try a variety of presentations, including jigging, pulling live bait, trolling crank baits, and more.
