Northwoods Road Trip

Location: The Upper Peninsula of Michigan

We’re on a northwoods road trip with friend and sponsor Wes Paul of Johnson Pump. We make a quick stop to fish the Menominee River near Niagara Michigan, and chase some fun and hard-fighting bass. The next day we move up to a lake further up in the Peninsula to look for walleye.

Fishing with Tex

Location: Hayward, Wisconsin

This week we are in the Hayward area fishing a small backwoods lake, and our guide is Pete Maina’s dad “Tex.”  We’re getting around like they did in the old days, just a small aluminum boat and a pair of oars to get around. We try a few presentations as we slowly move around this small lake looking for bass. Tex is retired from guiding, but still has a ton of information to share to help us catch fish.

We’re so blessed to be able to do what we do every week, some week’s can be a struggle, and some are pure bliss.  This trip to Andy Myers Lodge was absolutely the latter, and we wish we would never have to leave. 


Pro guide, and longtime friend, Danny Herbeck takes us out to show the versatility of Eagle Lake, and just plain shows us a great time out on the water! We concentrate on walleyes, but there are bass and pike mixed in to keep us guessing each time we set the hook.  Along with us on this adventure is Jeff Kolodzinski, a friend, who also represents Humminbird & MinnKota.
