Northwoods Fishing in the Fall

This time of year, if you are blessed with a nice weather day; you take it, and get out on the water. That’s exactly what we did, when my buddy Henry and I went up to Vilas County to fish with Rob Manthei.  We targeted walleyes, but caught bass and pike too. 

We didn’t catch any trophies, but that’s not always what fishing is about. Just getting out on the water, and enjoying the day was reason enough to say that we had a successful fishing day.

We’re after muskies this week, fishing out of Grassy Narrows Lodge on Lake of the Woods in Ontario. John wasn’t able to make the trip this week, doctor's orders, so Pete Maina and Christian Laettnerr take Wes and Travis out on the hunt for a few late fall monsters.

Catching Lakers in the Sunshine

If you get a decent weather day this time of year, you get out the boat and get out on the water. We’re out of Milwaukee on Lake Michigan jigging for lake trout, and Caleb puts us on some giants! Using jigging spoons, plastics, and just about anything else catches us fish that absolutely fight like crazy!
