It's a party, and we've got some old friends and some new friends joining us for a fun-filled 2 days on the ice. We join Dale Stroschein for his annual whitefish and walleye outing at Sand Bay Beach Resort.  We've got a great group of guys along, and all are eager to jig for both species. The walleye bite in the early morning starting at sunset, as well as late evening and after sunset.  The whitefish fill the rest of the day with excitement, and competition, as each angler is racing to catch their limit of 10 before their buddy.

Spring on the Fox River

Spring is just around the corner, and the rivers across the state are opening up, or have been open for quite some time.  March is a fun time of year, there are lots of options for anglers in our state. You can fish the rivers like we are today, or you can still find ice in certain places if you’d rather be doing that.  

The Fox River is am amazing fishery, and right now is a great time to be out.  Our guide Charter Captain Brett Jolly tells us that the walleyes are congregated here to prepare for the spawn.  There are lots of male fish too keep you busy, plus the chance at a real trophy pre-spawn female too.
