Pike Chain Multi-Species Bite

What a difference a week makes! This week we’re on the ice with charter captain Josh Teigen, and we couldn't had asked for better weather. The weather is great, and the fish are biting on every presentation we have out. We have the Beaver Dams out for northern pike, jigging for panfish & walleye, and having success on everything.
Joining us is Pete Maina and his Dad Tex, Jeremy Meyer from Amsoil, Tony and Robin from Hard & Soft Fishing, and Josh’s friend Acorn. It’s a great group of people to spend a couple of days on the ice with!

The 2016 Mills Fleet Farm Highlights Show

This week we take a look back at 2016, sharing both our biggest fish, as well as our viewers. Throughout the show well be awarding grand prizes to randomly selected viewers that entered the 2016 Mills Fleet Farm fishing contest. Grand prizes will be awarded according to species category. As we move through the different spaces category’s, we’ll show clips of our biggest catches of the year.

The Petenwell Flowage

This week we’re on the Petenwell Flowage, in Adams County Wisconsin. This flowage is well known as a great multi-species body of water. Our guide, and Petenwell Sport Shop owner Matt Johannes, took us to several spots to find fish. Movement is the name of the game on the flowage, you need to be ready to move if you want to catch fish. Once you find the spot, you need to be ready to hole-hop too. It’s worth it though, as we are catching some beautiful crappies, albeit not at the numbers that we are used to. The weather has affected the bite, so changing up lure presentations has enticed more fish to bite.

Episode 4
Vilas Co. Ice

This week we’re battling the cold in Vilas County Wisconsin with Pro Guide Rob Manthei. Rob knows based on the weather, that it may be an uphill battle to get the fish to go, but like any good angler says “you can’t catch the fish from your couch.”
Fishing during a high-pressure cold snap is what we are dealing with. We can’t pick our days, so we’re going to try everything we have in the tackle box to see what they want. We are after panfish jigging and pike on the Beaver Dams. Putting in our time, we find that the hot bite starts just before dark, so we get a fun fast fury of angling before heading in for the night.

Panfishing in Northern Minnesota

This week we are excited to be back with our buddy Rusty Lilyquist in his home area of Longville Minnesota. We’re after panfish on the Woman Chain, which has just about any species you may want to target. Along with jigging for panfishing, Pete Maina is setting up Beaver Dams for pike. Being on such a versatile fishery, we were in for surprises, as we caught whitefish as well as bass on our panfish rods.
